My name is Hayden Shannon and I am currently a freshman in my 2nd semester at the Borough of Manhattan Community College. My Associates degree is being pursued in Liberal Arts but I hope to move on to Queens College to work towards my B.A and M.A in History and Library Science. I have lived all over the continental United States and spent sometime overseas but my home state of Washington will always be near and dear to me. I suggest everyone take a trip up to the Pacific Northwest at some point as it is truly awe inspiring. I am still recent to the New York area but have been thoroughly enjoying my time here the past year and adjusting well to the city way of life. While my appearance may suggest otherwise I am nearing 25 and have been happily married for the past 2 years. After spending 6 years pursuing a career in New Mexico I decided it best to take a stab at a college education to better my chances of obtaining my dream job of being an archivist.
Hoping this will be another great semester.

I actually have personally tutored students who are library science majors. It’s a very writing intensive field, and it requires a lot of internships etc, but from what I have seen, it’s a very rewarding program.

Oh wow! I’ve never actually met anyone who has earned their degree in this major. A lot of my research has been done online. I’ve never minded writhing, I’m just not so organised at it as I am in other areas of my life.
